Still working on some 8 1/2" by 11" pages.  I found an album for them a few days go that had nothing in it so I'm fixing that :p.  This page is of my fun costume for a friends 80's themed birthday party.  I really need to get new letters/fonts to use since I only have two kinds and I'm running out and/or getting sick of using them.  But I think the fun cutouts helped me like the lettering a bit more.  Also, sidenote: those leg warmers and leggings have come in handy a lot since this night.  My mother would be nostalgically happy.

I woke up this morning and decided to work on an 8 1/2"x 11" page.  I wanted to try and make a page that used mostly paper since I have a lot of it and embellishments can be expensive so I wanted to savor them a bit.  I like the way that the page ended up.  I got to use some papers from a black and white themed pack I bought for a school project this year.  I also like that it's not your typical color scheme for an Easter page.  The photo was taken when my parents dropped me back off at my dorm after Easter my sophomore year as evidenced by the fuzzy bunny ears.  The page is really simple but with a smaller area, I kind of like that look.

I tried out my first sketch challenge today.  It's a pretty loose interpretation but I am relatively pleased with it.  Here is the sketch I used for the Scrap Our Stash sketch challenge:

The thing that I liked most about this sketch was the way that the bottom of the photo was cropped off so I emphasized playing with that element in my page.  My photos of myself with my friend's guinea pig were perfect for the page because they had a lot of extra space at the bottom of them that could be trimmed off.

Here is my page featuring the lovely Stella:

I finally was able to finish a page that I made for the Pixels and Papers December challenge. The challenge was another photo inspiration challenge.

Here is the inspiration photo:
I mostly inspired by the colors.  I really enjoyed how well they worked together so I used the colors in the picture on my page.  It's a pretty simple page but I really wanted the funny pictures of puppy in his cone of shame to stand out.

Here is my entry:

I finished the last of my final papers! I'm so happy, I'm just relaxing and scrapbooking with a celebratory daiquiri. All I have to do is show up tomorrow and I'm in the clear!

I decided to play around with some photos and do a page with a lot of them instead of just one or two.  I also tried to expand beyond the typically expected color scheme for 4th of July photos.  I like the way it turned out!

It's been awhile since I've even looked at this.  Finals have lasted more than the typical 1 week for me.  It's been about 3 of stress and brain melting craziness but I'm done...for now.

I did manage to scrapbook a little to distract myself from the overwhelming amount of reading and writing I had to do.  I think this page turned out pretty well!

So today I thought I'd try a scrap book challenge and actually enter for once to see if I can get a hang of this blog thing.

This is a page I created for the Scrap Our Stash December photo inspiration challenge.

This was the inspiration photo:

I went fairly literal with my interpretation but that is because I found I had the perfect shiny bronze paper in my personal stash that I had to use.  I also am realizing I should invest in a decent camera or else a scanner.  Alas, this college student doesn't see either one of those in the future.  But I sure enjoyed the challenge and getting to use my shiny ribbon, rhinestones, and paper!

This is my first post.  I've been stalking scrap booking blogs on here for quite some time now and so I finally decided to go ahead and make my own.  I'm usually fairly tech-savvy but this is definitely new to me.  I scrapbook at college to pass time, procrastinate papers, and document the fun times I'm having.  Hopefully this blog will just add to my enjoyment and experience. :)
